Righto! This post sees me finally getting around to doing something creative, for me! That’s right! I’ve produced some work for myself. Well, I wouldn’t necessarily say ‘work’ as they’re just initial concepts but it’s definitely the start towards something bigger.

At any rate, it’s exciting (I think it is!) and I wanted to share them with anyone who might want a gander. I’ll even add incentive. A little competition if you will.

In the images, there is a woman’s face in the place of a plants head. Said woman is a famous face from a bygone era.

The first person who can successfully tell me the identity of the woman will win a prize. Nothing too extravagant - a pint maybe? Or something to that effect.

LONDON ROLLING   Photographer David Jackson has used a technique called stereographic projection to turn the capital’s landmarks into mini planets. Stereographic projection is a form of digital processing that shows a 360-degree spherical panorama as a flat image. Above: London.  (Photo: Jackson / Rex Features via the Telegraph)

Can you imagine photography in 3D? This is fuckin’ cool!

Experimenting…

I’m seeing what it’s like to be a botanist.

Well not exactly as I’m just drying some plants out.

I’ll show my results in about a week when they’ve been thoroughly dried and pressed.

A rethink, me thinks.

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be starting on a new project. Well, more of a rethink of an old project - the damnable Garden project from earlier this year. Yes, that old chestnut.

Since that project didn’t go so well for me grade wise I’m done dwelling on it as a mistake (as without doing it, I wouldn’t have found a way of working that I enjoy) and now that I have little to do other than work and try to find gainful employment in something that I want to do, I might as well give it another shot, re do most of that project and turn it into something cool - basically what I should have handed in first time around.

I’ll post what I come up with on here over the next couple of days. I would begin today but I don’t have any collage-make-a-mess-of-the-place things with me*. Obviously, comments and critiques are always welcome.

Watch out for that!

*This is probably a good thing as Emily cleaned her room yesterday and she would be pretty pissed if I made a ma-hu-ssive mess!
